The Wampler Metaverse is the latest pedal from the MIDI DSP series that started with the Terraform. Offering a comprehensive programmable multi-delay with 11 delays available. Thankfully, even with all these delay algorithms, it is a simple-to-use effect.

Wampler has packed 11 of Brian Wampler‘s favourite delay effects into a compact unit. The pedal is completely stereo, fully programmable and offers complete MIDI control, presets and an expression input that you can assign to each of the parameters.

11 Delay Algorithms
Metaverse comes with 11 different delay algorithms which were handpicked by Brian Wampler. All programs use a continuous range of 25 to 2000 milliseconds (with the exception of the TAPE program, which starts at 40 ms). It is therefore possible to first set your desired delay settings to match the song and then search for the optimally suitable sound by rotating the program selector.

- DIGI – DIGITAL DELAY (TC Electronics 2290)
Presets
Only one delay effect can be used at a time. Operation is either directly via the self-explanatory controls of the effect pedal or completely via MIDI. The pedal comes with 8 pre-installed presets and can store a total of up to 128 presets. The all-digital device works at a 48 kHz sampling rate and 24 bits and transmits the signal from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Simple
Since no one likes to read manuals, Wampler has attached particular importance to making this product as simple as possible. In addition, you will find a series of videos on the use of the Metaverse on the manufacturer’s website.
Free Plugins
Wampler is also offering a software version of the pedal via a set of 11 AU and VST3 plugins. These are free to all customers that register their Metaverse Warranty online. This plugin suite is normally priced at $49.99 when purchased separately. A nice little added extra for any new owners, which makes it a pretty good deal.
