The best find of the week award goes to these fabulously cosy soft travel bags for 2-tier and 3-tier racks of Moog’s 60HP semi-modulars. Your synths have never been so well looked after.

Moog Studio soft case

I have taken a 3-tier Moog rack out to gigs before and it’s a bit of a nightmare. I wrapped it in towels, put it inside a soft PA speaker case, and gingerly carried it around. Oh for something as hilariously cool as these bags from SynthToys.

The cases are handmade in Turkey, designed expressly to accommodate the 2-tier and 3-tier Moog racks that mount up the Mother-32, DFAM and Subharmonicon. Perfect for the Moog Studio bundles. They are waterproof, filled with a fur-like material and have both handles and a shoulder strap. On either side is a zipped pouch for patch cables and power supplies.

With the flap open it does look like you’re about to put your synths into the mouth of a monster, or perhaps the boot of a car. There’s something about them that’s comedic. Maybe it’s the wedge shape, or how it looks like a boot that an old-age giant with bad feet might wear.

Both the 2-tier and the 3-tier bags look brilliant. They are exactly what you need to protect your Moog tower if you were thinking of taking them out there into the chaotic world of live performance.

If you find yourself on a busy bus or train en route to the gig with nowhere to sit, you can pop it on the floor with your MS in it… and hey presto, a nice comfy chair!

“There’s something about them that’s comedic.” — Not about them but about needs of traveling with ASSEMBLED on stand 3-tier Moog.

Well, having travelled with an assembled 3-tier moog stand, and 104hp at that, I can tell you it’s not funny! But it’s also essential if your destination requires your patch to be intact and ready to go on arrival.

Robin, I definitely admit your view. You named the reason, therefore that backpack was created.
Next step is a wholly assembled drum kit.

I hope they make a 4 tier version given the new Godfather coming out (or someone wanting too DFAMs for more drumming).

I actually had been contemplating if a ski boot case could work as they are roughly the same shape. It’s nice to see these. Perfect if you were taking a Moog rack for a gig and you wanted to leave it all patched.
