Artificial Intelligence has become a buzzword in audio technology in recent years. Plugin developers continue to implement new machine learning algorithms and smart assistants to relieve us of many tedious tasks. iZotope has long been at the forefront of this development and many of the company’s flagship products make heavy use of AI magic. Needless to say, Ozone 10 continues on this path with even more smart features and assistants to help you craft high-quality masters.

The new Stabilizer module in Ozone Advanced is an adaptive mastering EQ for dealing with problematic resonance, carving away harsh frequencies, and smoothing transients. iZotope says that this helps to shape a clear tone and create a mix that translates well across listening environments.

New Impact Module

Also new in Ozone Advanced is the Impact module for controlling the “microdynamics” of a mix. According to iZotope, the four sliders work across different frequency bands to help you add punch and glue a mix together.

The Master Assistant in Ozone Standard and Advanced has also received an update. This assistant, which lets you match the sound of your mix to a reference track, now offers an updated Assistant View for quicker adjustment of the starting point and easy metering using the Tonal Balance curve.

Other improvements in Ozone Standard and Advanced include a new setting in the Maximizer module called Magnify Soft Clip, which boosts the loudness while maintaining high fidelity. Moreover, the Imager module offers a new Recover Sides feature for reducing the stereo width without losing the information from the sides.
