Steinberg opens this week with HALion, their in-house sampling and synthesis workstation that now packs 15 instruments and over 70 effects under one roof. At €135, this is one of the biggest production environments on sale this week. Next up is Acon Digital with Restoration Suite 2, four specialized plugins built to fight noise, hum, clicks, and clipping. Rounding things out is Safari Audio Rhino Reverb, a charming spring reverb emulator styled after old HiFi amps from the ’60s and ’70s, now down to a ridiculous €6.90. Three genuinely interesting deals for sound designers and producers alike.

Steinberg HALion 7: Now 59% Off

Steinberg is one of the most established names in music software, and HALion has been the company’s flagship sampling instrument for years. The current version brings two brand new synthesis engines, FM Lab and Spectral Zone, that push HALion well beyond simple sample playback. Through August 23rd, Steinberg HALion is available for €135. Worth grabbing.

Over 35 GB of content with more than 3,700 presets and 15 instruments cover FM, wavetable, virtual analog, and granular synthesis, all inside a single platform. FM Lab combines up to eight operators in a freely configurable algorithm designer, letting you wire operators as carriers, modulators, or into feedback loops. Spectral Zone lets you load any sample and resynthesize it through spectral filters, a concept anyone who’s used Steinberg’s Padshop 2 will recognize immediately. Over 70 built-in effects, disk-streaming sample playback, and a reworked modulation matrix with new shaper envelopes round out the package.

In practice, Steinberg HALion works just as well for sound designers building instruments from scratch as it does for anyone who just wants access to a massive preset library. If you’ve spent time with NI Kontakt, FM Lab gives HALion something Kontakt simply doesn’t have. Steinberg also finally dropped the dongle requirement in favor of modern licensing, which makes getting started noticeably less painful than it was with HALion 6.

Through August 23, 2026, grab Steinberg HALion here at Thomann* for €135.00 instead of €329.00 with 59% off.

Acon Digital Restoration Suite 2: Now 55% Off

Acon Digital is a Norwegian developer specializing in audio restoration and editing, and Restoration Suite 2 is one of the most complete solutions in that space without carrying the price tag of the professional competition. The suite is made up of four standalone plugins, DeNoise, DeHum, DeClick, and DeClip, each built for a specific problem. Through August 31st, Acon Digital Restoration Suite 2 is available for just €45.

More Information

DeNoise reduces hiss, wind noise, and hum either through adaptive mode or a manually captured noise profile, with dynamic profiles that track changing noise like wind over time. DeHum specifically targets electrical hum and other tonal interference, and comes with an automatic fine-tune button that estimates the hum’s fundamental frequency on its own. DeClick removes impulsive noise like clicks and crackle, the kind typically found on vinyl or from digital dropouts, and works effectively on vocal plosives too. DeClip reconstructs peaks that got clipped digitally or in analog. All four plugins now support M/S processing plus surround and immersive audio formats up to 7.1.6 channels.

In practice, Restoration Suite 2 is a reliable lifeline for problematic source material. Old interviews with tape hiss, field recordings with wind noise, vinyl rips with crackle, or overdriven live recordings can all get targeted treatment from these four plugins without noticeably damaging the actual signal. The improved algorithms in version 2 preserve significantly more transient detail than earlier versions, which really shows up in DeClick when you push it at more aggressive settings. A strong bundle overall.

Through August 31, 2026, grab Acon Digital Restoration Suite 2 here at Thomann* for €45.00 instead of €99.00 with 55% off.

Safari Audio Rhino Reverb: Now 79% Off

Safari Audio has built a reputation on character-driven, unconventional plugins, and Rhino Reverb keeps that tradition going. Instead of emulating another classic spring reverb tank like a Fender unit, this plugin takes its cues from vintage HiFi amplifiers from the ’60s and ’70s, units that were never meant for music production in the first place but became cult favorites for their unpredictable, lively spring character. Through August 31st, Safari Audio Rhino Reverb is available for just €6.90.

More Information

The interface stays deliberately minimal, mirroring the sparse knob layout of the original hardware: a Reverb knob controls length and intensity, a Filter slider shapes tonal character and can genuinely get, in the manufacturer’s own words, “wild and crazy,” a Width knob widens the stereo image, and a Blend knob mixes between dry and wet signal. A colorful meter shows the current blend ratio in real time.

In practice, Rhino Reverb keeps its distinct, slightly vintage character no matter where you set the knobs. The reverb has a shimmery quality with dense early reflections that sit into a mix without demanding attention. Pull back the highs and you get something darker and more restrained; push them up and it turns sparkly and present. This plugin works great on drums and vocals that are missing a bit of organic, three-dimensional vintage character, the kind clean digital reverbs usually can’t deliver.

Through August 31, 2026, grab Safari Audio Rhino Reverb here at Thomann* for €6.90 instead of €33.00 with 79% off.
