The Harrison Audio Flex-10 is a desktop USB audio interface with a console-like sensibility, with a balance of analogue front-end and connectivity options.

While Harrison did create the 32Ci interface in collaboration with Icon Pro, the Flex-10 is the first-ever bona fide Harrison Audio audio interface, capturing the spirit of the manufacturer’s legendary heritage in console design, and making this accessible for musicians the same way SSL did with its series of desktop interfaces.

When it first meets the gaze, the Flex-10 looks like the center section of a vintage mixing console, complete with channel strips and VU meters. However, we can’t be fooled by its classic appearance because under the hood, you’ll find all the necessary features of a modern audio interface designed to elevate your home recording experience.

More Information

The Flex-10 is a 10×12 interface with 32-bit 192 kHz recording and two well-rounded channel strips, which are one of its most prominent features. Besides the high-performance mic preamp, there is a filter section with adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters for setting the frequency range of your signals on the way into your DAW.

To add that console-like colour to the sound, there are also H-Drive transformer circuits to add varying degrees of saturation when you require. In addition, there are a pair of intert points, allowing you to add outboard gear into your recording chain or when you’re sending signals out from your DAW while mixing.

The Flex-10 is also equipped with minijack MIDI I/O and ADAT I/O, so you can expand your front-end channel count with a multichannel ADAT preamp at any stage. Overall, the Flex-10 has an impressive balance of connectivity, monitoring, and routing options, and a price tag that makes it accessible for musicians.
