Rumours about the Ryan Adams Signature Stratocaster Master Blaster have been gaining traction, and we had hoped for an official release at Summer NAMM. But it didn’t happen. Mostly.

Okay, so it didn’t officially launch this weekend as we hoped, but Ryan Adam’s Master Blaster ’80s inspired Stratocaster did get an unboxing via Instagram. So we know it is imminent and surely it can’t be too long before it finally gets an official release date.

Ryan Adam has shown it on just about every other social media website on the planet, but still no official release details from Fender.

The Strat

So what do we currently know about this guitar? It has some very retro graphics with neon effect pinstriping along the body edge and that classic ‘The Strat’ headstock logo from the 1980s Fender models of the same name. Those were originally aimed at the Rock end of the guitar market. You can also see a subtle metallic flake in the black paint job, which would make for a nice ‘pop’ under stage lighting. Nice touch. Ryan Adams is, of course, a huge fan of ’80s tones and if you saw his JHS VCR pedal from last year, you will know he is also a bit partial to that neon and black aesthetic as well.

I was hoping to have more ‘official’ details by now, but until this guitar actually released you will have to make do with the Instagram teaser video below!
