Acon Digital Acoustica 8: AI-Enhanced Post-Production
In version 8, Acon Digital Acoustica adds a range of upgrades, including an improved interface, immersive support, and AI-powered restoration features.
First introduced in 2002, Acoustica was initially designed as an affordable alternative to editors like Sound Forge and WaveLab. Over the years, the DAW has gradually expanded, offering post-production, audio restoration, spectral editing, and multi-channel surround features.

Within the redesigned user interface, you now have a dockable window that lets you create your own custom workflow with your most frequently used processing modules. What’s more, there is a new and intuitive launch page, allowing you to quickly dive into your most recent projects.
In addition, there are AI-assisted and machine learning-enhanced audio restoration features. These include Extract:Dialogue 2, with its upgraded AI-powered processing workflow for isolating speech from even densely complex background material. This process is given enhanced control with level and sensitivity controls for the voice, noise, and reverb elements.
Meanwhile, processors like DeNoise 3 and DeHum have been upgraded with machine learning algorithms that get to work immediately without needing to read the noise profiles. AudioFill has also been improved with interpolation and retouch algorithms to regenerate larger audio gaps with natural-sounding results.
There are also improvements to spectral editing features, including a “select similar function” command, which allows you to automatically select and target similar audio patterns throughout a waveform. Furthermore, the Ultimate Edition now supports up to 9.1.6 multichannel workflows, adding support for immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos.
