We caught a glimpse of this module during a video of an Instruo workshop a few weeks ago. The Lubadh Dual Looper is a sublime Eurorack module for sampling, layering and overdubbing. Breathtaking to look at, complex and fascinating to play with.

The Dual Looper tries to emulate the idea of a twin tape deck. You record into it and then overdub onto the next deck mixed with the original. You can then change the starting point and length of tape (up to 45 minutes) and play speed forward or backwards up to 4 times in either direction. The signal path is normalised so you can create feedback loops so as you mess with one deck you can record it all onto the second one. There’s a built-in VCA section which lets you crossfade between the decks or inputs and outputs.

It’s actually simpler than it looks because the look is a little dazzling.

They hope to have it available by the end of the summer for around $400.
