The new Mooer GL200 is a sleek, sophisticated tool for live performances, combining a stereo looper and drum machine into a single unit. These two functions can be used independently or together, making it perfect for live performance.
Mooer GL200
The Mooer GL200 offers a wealth of features, including 100 memory locations for a total of 800 minutes of recording time. Its intuitive controls are managed through a clear, round 1.28-inch touchscreen.
Additionally, the unit features 220 different drum grooves spanning 11 distinct styles, offering a wide range of rhythmic options. The GL200 gives you the flexibility to import your own drum grooves and MIDI rhythms using special PC software.
Adjusting the tempo is a breeze with the tap tempo function. The “Time Stretch” function is particularly useful for live performances, allowing you to change the tempo without altering the pitch, which helps prevent synchronization issues.
The unit also includes an auto-record function, so you’re always ready to capture a performance.
DrumMatch AI
Equipped with DrumMatch AI, the Mooer GL200 acts as your personal, intelligent backing drummer, listening to your playing and automatically adapting to your groove to provide the perfect beat every time. A variable fade-out function allows for a smooth fade of all outputs.
The looper supports Bluetooth audio playback and recording, giving you the flexibility to practice or perform with backing tracks.
For hands-on control, the unit is equipped with three multi-functional footswitches, as well as dedicated controls for looper volume, drum volume, and speed. A menu encoder provides quick access to settings. Singer-songwriters will especially appreciate the combo XLR input with a MIC/LINE switch and phantom power, making it easy to plug in a microphone.
Connectivity
The GL200 offers a variety of connectivity options, including two 6.3 mm mono jack outputs and a 3.5 mm stereo headphone output. You can connect to a computer via the USB-C port, and two TRS MIDI ports are available for external control.
The unit is powered by an included 9V DC power supply.
Price and availability
The Mooer GL200 can do it all and is a great upgrade to the smaller Mooer GL100. An excellent tool for musicians, with many useful features, I’m sure these will be popular.
