Two Mateus Asato Suhr Classic T signature models have been revealed. Both look stunning in ‘M.A.’ White with gold hardware throughout. Each model has a different pickup configuration and one has a trem system. Which one would you choose?
Mateus Asato Suhr Classic T
These two new Mateus Asato Suhr Classic T models look fantastic in the ‘M.A.’ White finish and matching painted headstocks with the gold hardware and matching gold pickguard combination.
Both models feature an alder body paired with a roasted maple neck with a 9″-12″ compound radius Indian rosewood fretboard fitted with stainless steel frets.
They each have Suhr locking tuners and use Mateus Asato Custom Neck Profile that measures .810″.890″.
The more standard T-Style pickup configuration SIG-0045 also features a reverse headstock and has a set of Mateus’ Signature M.A.T. pickups and Suhr’s SSCII (silent single coil system).
This model uses a Wilkinson three-saddle bridge.
MSRP – USD 3849.00
Lollar Gold Foil
Whereas the SIG-0046 comes with a Gotoh 510 tremolo and a pair of Lollar gold-foil pickups.
MSRP – USD 4299.00
Which would you choose?
His previous Classic T model looked great in black, but these two new models look really sumptuous in this new off-white finish and Gretsch-like with the gold hardware.
Both models have great specifications, I think I would possibly be more inclined to go for the Lollar-equipped version with the trem system. Purely, because it offers something a little different from a standard T-style guitar. Though, I would be happy to own either in reality.
