M-Audio intros M-Track Solo & Duo audio interfaces at €69 and €49
Manufacturer M-Audio has just announced the M-Track Solo and Duo, a pair of inexpensive starter USB audio interfaces. At just GBP 50 (GBP 40 for the Solo), the M-Track Duo covers all the bases and makes computer audio recording more accessible than it’s ever been. Given their compact size and straightforward feature set, the new M-Tracks also make good backup/portable solutions.
M-Audio M-Track Solo & Duo
Both interfaces are equipped with M-Audio Crystal mic preamps on XLR/line/instrument combo inputs with 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. The converters operate at 16-bits. Additional features include a stereo line input to connect pretty much anything that makes a sound and has an output jack, as well as monitoring switches to let you change between listening to computer audio or input signal.
The M-Track Solo has RCA stereo outputs while the M-Track Duo has 1/4-inch monitor outputs. Both have headphone outputs with dedicated volume controls.
The bundled software package is generous as well. The interfaces ship with Pro Tools First – M-Audio Edition, the MPC Beats production software, 20 AVID plug-ins, the Eleven Lite guitar amp simulator, and the Xpand!2 rompler. One can’t possibly complain at these prices.

You have to sign up for protools and he recapcha does nothing when you tyoe it in. Thus can’t download protools. the usb input is not recognized so there is no input signal in garage band or ampkit. after making all the changes in audio midi and sound. very frustrating.
