Apple has upgraded the Logic Pro UI on desktop and iPad systems by implementing the “Liquid Glass” design language. With the dynamic translucent surfaces feature, you can easily distinguish between elements that are selected and active compared to those that aren’t. Furthermore, with deeper contrast in the dark mode setting, waveforms, MIDI tracks, and automation lanes appear sharper.

More Information

The overlap between the desktop and iPad interfaces is also more apparent, with redesigned controls, beautifully rounded edges, and transparent faders, all created to enhance the user experience on both platforms. On Logic Pro for Mac, Apple has introduced a new intelligent assistant, designed to help you navigate and build your workflow more efficiently.

Powered by OpenAI and Apple’s own AI models, the assistant lets you perform a series of tasks like starting a new project and setting up a vocal recording channel from a single prompt, which can save time. Meanwhile, the new smart browser becomes the center of operations for finding loops, virtual instruments, and effects presets.

Using an audio analysis tool, Logic can categorize and tag sounds for you, making finding sounds that match an easier process. Also, the Stem Splitter now has increased capabilities, including drum isolation, replacement, and rebalancing without requiring the multitracks. This is a useful tool for sample-based production workflows and for doing tweaks on drum overhead tracks to sit more cohesively in the mix.

Pricing and Availability:

Logic Pro 13 will be available as a free update for current users or $199 for new users via the App Store.

Years since i don’t get confused about audio tech and workflow, and fashion “technology” and sells… all OSs are getting blurred and mixed everytime worse just to sell. All must be new from time to time, all intrusive and for dummies it seems. Will keep working on my 2012 macpro untill it burns
