Knaggs Guitars make some great instruments and have players like Steve Stevens on their roster and he knows a thing or two about the guitar. This new Severn X model is a more modern, refined and updated version of the previous Severn model according to the company.

The Severn X comes in either SSS, HSS, HSH or HH versions, that’s a lot of variety and possibly will make it hard to choose which is the best one for you, but hey choice is good right?

With a proprietary Knaggs trem system which is designed to give better sustain and increased string vibration, these guitars have similar look to something like a PRS. The Severn X features a fairly wide 1.65” nut,  14” fingerboard radius, EVO jumbo fret wire and a 5-way super blade switch. Expect lots of switching options, especially with all those different pickup combinations available.

Gotoh locking tuners should help the tuning stability of the guitars, especially if that Knaggs trem system is as good as they state.

The Severn X will be available in three different pricing tiers and I’d imagine you can have more options / bling as the price goes up. Details are all a little sketchy at the time of writing, however, I will update as more information emerges.

I’d like to see some more information on the distinction between the tiers, more detailed specifications and also see some finish options as well. Initially, though it’s looking pretty good.

RRP TBC
