The newly updated Kali Audio WS-12 V2 active subwoofer offers various improvements compared to the previous model. Not only have the electronics been upgraded, but the addition of the M10 pole flange is an exciting one.
This means that the WS-12 V2 can be used not just in a studio, but in a rehearsal space or small venue too. This type of versatility will surely be appreciated by musicians, and it makes you wonder if Kali Audio will be creating PA speakers in future.
The Kali Audio WS-12 V2 Subwoofer
The WS-12 V2 is a 12-inch active sub equipped with 1000 W of Class D power application, offering frequency reproduction as low as 23 Hz. However, in order to create a subwoofer for live sound environments as well as studios, the redesign needed some special tweaks.
The speaker’s internal circuitry has been upgraded in several areas including the crossover, where the signal-to-noise ratio gets a 6 dB improvement with over 13 different crossover frequency settings. Also, there is better internal thermal efficiency and management with this new model – which increases its overall longevity.

Like Kali’s popular LP series studio monitors, the bass reflex port of the WS-12 was implemented to offer the benefits of a front-ported speaker without the air noise, which has been regulated so the air is transmitted through the port at the same rate.
With the M10 stand flange and integrated handles the WS-12 V2 is ready for the road, and will be easy to load into the trunk of a car with the rest of your live gear.
