IKEA Kallsup: Power In Numbers
A tiny cube speaker to transform your living space.
The IKEA Kallsup is a new, affordable, and portable wireless speaker launched at CES this year, which is roughly the size of a Rubik’s Cube.
You would think that by now, there are more than enough Bluetooth speaker systems available on the market, giving manufacturers very little incentive to reinvent the wheel. IKEA has other ideas, however, and rather than being exclusively focussed on the sound and features, the Swedish company places design aesthetics at the forefront and says “the more the merrier”.
IKEA Kallsup
The Kallsup is a cube speaker roughly 2 inches in length on each side. This makes it easy to fit onto a bookshelf, nightstand, or your home office desk while you work. In terms of its sound and functionality, some who tried the Kallsup out at CES 2026 commented on its similarity to the Echo Dot Mini.
There are three colours: white, green, and pink, and the operation of the device is incredibly simple. There are just two controls for pairing and play/pause/skip, and changing the volume happens on your streaming device. The Kallsup charges via USB-C, but specifications on the battery time have not yet been released.
One particularly exciting aspect is that you can pair up to 100 of these speakers to create your own colourful and customizable wall of sound. This makes it a perfect sonic and decorative touch for a kid’s bedroom, the kitchen, or even the garage on DIY days. Another thing to love about the Kallsup is the price. For under $10 each, you can easily get a few and place them strategically around your house.

Pricing and Availability:
The IKEA Kallsup will be available from April this year, and is reportedly priced at under $10.

One response to “IKEA Kallsup: Power In Numbers”

Funny thing – Kallsup means “involuntary gulp of water”, “swallowing water by mistake”, or describes “when water goes down the wrong way” when diving for example.
