The latest Epiphone Adam Jones Self-Portrait As Not Dead Yet Art Collection model has now been released. It features the artwork of Julie Heffernan and is the fourth Silverburst Les Paul Custom in the series.
Self-Portrait As Not Dead Yet
The new Self-Portrait As Not Dead Yet by Julie Heffernan is the latest Adam Jones signature Les Paul Custom. The artist’s work was described by The New Yorker magazine as “ironic rococo surrealism with a social-satirical twist.” Her portraiture reflects on environmental, art historical, feminist, literary, social, and political subjects.
The latest Epiphone Adam Jones Art Collection has the same specifications and Silverburst finish as the last three releases and is once more a limited run.
There will be 800 models available worldwide.
Previously, there was the recent Study for Self-portrait with Rose Skirt and a Mouse, also by Heffernan, The Berserker by Frank Frazetta and The Veil of Bees by Mark Ryden.
The specifications include a mahogany body and a maple top, finished in Silverburst. Along with an ebony fretboard and a Graph Tech nut along with 22 frets.
The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Distortion and the neck pickup is an Epiphone ProBucker Custom that has been reverse mounted. The wiring uses CTS Potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors with typical twin volume, twin tone controls and a three-way pickup selector switch.
Each guitar in this run also features artwork designed by artist Korin Faught on the rear of the headstock.
They ship in a good quality Epiphone Protector Series Hardshell Case which is a bonus for a guitar like this one. I have no doubt that these will all sell out quickly, as the previous three runs went pretty quickly.
