Epiphone Adam Jones Veil of Bees
This new Epiphone Adam Jones Silverburst Les Paul Custom launches the new more affordable range of signature guitars for the Tool guitarist. The Custom Art Collection is going to have seven versions of the guitar, each with different artwork on the back of the guitar.
The Veil of Bees
The Veil of Bees by Mark Ryden is the first in the series and is already selling at dealers across the world. Adam Jones has curated works by artists including Frank Frazetta, Julie Heffernan, Korin Faught and Ernst Fuchs. Epiphone will make only 800 of each model for this limited-edition run.
The specifications include a mahogany body and a maple top, finished in Silverburst. Along with an ebony fretboard and a Graph Tech nut along with 22 frets.
The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Distortion and the neck pickup is an Epiphone ProBucker Custom that has been reverse mounted. The wiring uses CTS Potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors with typical twin volume, twin tone controls and a three-way pickup selector switch.
Each guitar in this run also features artwork designed by artist Korin Faught on the rear of the headstock.
They are pretty expensive, though you do get an Epiphone Protector Series Hardshell Case which is a nice touch. Plus, bragging rights for the limited edition artwork.
