Busy Circuits has pulled together a good range of classic digital effects in this expandable and firmware upgradable Eurorack module. It runs at 16 bit and 44.1kHz and is based on an ARM CPU DSP.

Amongst the effects, there are a number of delays based on rack delay units, tape echos and more modern granular styles. You’ll find dense and expansive reverbs with modern spaces and familiar atmospheres. There’s a compressor, transient shaper, distortion and corrupted. It’s got some auto-panning, ring modulation and a lovely classic chorus and ensemble effect. Busy Circuits really do have it covered. And you’ll also find an oscilloscope, tuner and metering built-in.

Each effect has many parameters that are available for control via the simple button and data encoder interface. It’s not awesome but it’s functional within that small form. The 3 CV inputs at the top can be routed to any parameter you want to mess with. You can also add the Axon-1 expander to add another 4 CV inputs giving 7 in total.

You can route into the MFX in mono or stereo and set that up within the effect to maximise the use of the mono and stereo outputs. There’s also a clock input so you can sync up delays to the rest of your system.
