Acustica Audio, which stands behind a plethora of analog-sounding plug-ins, announced Ruby. Ruby is supposed to faithfully replicate the VT-5 vacuum-tube equalizer made by recording engineer and audio designer D.W. Fearn.
Acustica Audio boasts that its own hardware sampling tech was the one to finally convince Mr. Fearn to have a software replica of his equalizer released and featuring his name on it. Styled in Red, the VT-5 features Low Cut, Low Boost, Mid Cut, High Boost, HF Q, High Cut, Input trim, and Output Level controls.
Overall, a fairly elaborate and musical-sounding hardware EQ that’s now coming to live inside your DAW!
