With public life pretty much shutting down across the globe and events like Superbooth, Musikmesse, Ableton Loop and most concerts cancelled, many of us will spend the next few weeks mostly indoors. While this could have a catastrophic effect on the music and nightlife industries, it’s also an opportunity to make some music! Korg has decided to give away the iKaossilator app for iOS and the Kaossilator Android app as Coronavirus freebies. Before you get bored, pick up your phone and make some beats with the mobile versions of the classic X/Y pad synth.

Here’s an excerpt from Korg’s press release:

Schools, workplaces, and meetings worldwide have been requested to close by their respective governments and so many people are studying and working from home. To help you with a musical way to occupy your mind we have decided to make the Kaossilator app for iOS and Android free of charge for a limited time.

There’s not much to add to that, except that the apps are a whole lot of fun (like all Kaossilators). Download it, have some fun and make the best of these troubled times! The iOS app is free until March 31, while the Android version is free until March 20.

I am so happy to read this. This is the type of manual that needs to be given and not the accidental misinformation that is at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.
