Charvel has brought a few new models to Summer NAMM this year, including the Limited Edition Signature Pro-Mod SD24 Justin Aufdemkampe, Pro-Mod DK24 and Super Stock 1888 models.

Limited Edition Signature Pro-Mod SD24 Justin Aufdemkampe

The Miss May I guitarist Justin Aufdemkampe now has his own San Dimas-style hardtail signature model called the Pro-Mod SD24. The mahogany body is finished in sultry Trans Red and has a caramelised maple neck with a 12”-16” compound radius matching fingerboard with rolled edges and 24 jumbo frets.

Hard Tailed Shred

The guitar is fitted with chrome hardware throughout, which includes a Charvel HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge and matching locking tuners. The Fender Texas Special single-coil neck pickup and Seymour Duncan Distortion SH-6 bridge pickup are wired to a three-way rotary pickup switch. This sits next to chrome-domed volume and tone control knobs and a retro-looking arcade machine style momentary kill switch!

Pro-Mod DK24 HSS and HSH models

With two versions on offer – one with an HSS layout the other with an HSH pickup configuration – these hard-tailed models come in the Dinky body shape. These guitars have two-piece bolt-on caramelised maple necks with graphite reinforcement and all the little touches you would expect from Charvel, like 24 jumbo frets, Pearloid dot inlays and GraphTech nuts.

Seymour Duncan loaded

These models all have Seymour Duncan pickups, with the HSS version sporting a Full Shred SH-10B bridge pickup, Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil middle pickup and Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP in the neck position.

While the HSH version comes with the same Custom Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10B bridge pickup and Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 middle pickup, there’s an Alnico II Pro APH-1N humbucker in the neck position.

Charvel Limited Edition Super Stock 1888

Based on Charvel models from the ’80s, the Super Stock 1888 is the only model here with a Floyd Rose locking bridge system. Again, this is a Dinky body, but finished in Dark Brown Sunburst. This time you get an ebony fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 jumbo frets and sharkfin inlays.

A classic reverse Jackson headstock completes this modern take on the original Model 88. This one comes loaded with a pair of DiMarzio Super Distortion DP218 pickups n the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge position.
