Rode is building up quite the toolbox of useful apps with integration features that work with a range of Rode hardware.

Rode Capture

The app has been designed to work in conjunction with the Rode Wireless ME, Wireless GO II, VideoMic GO II, VideoMic NTG, AI-Micro, and the NT-USB+.

If you aren’t using Rode Capture with one of these mics you can still access the video features, but the DSP audio features are only available when connected to compatible Rode mics.

The features include automatic gain control, HP filter, compression, noise gate, Aphex Aural Exciter, as well as the Big Bottom algorithm for adding weight to speech recordings.

On the video side, there’s a dual-camera function that allows you to capture with both the main and selfie camera simultaneously. Moreover, this feed can be recorded as two separate files, or captured in split-screen or picture-in-picture mode.

Rode Capture provides a range of capture settings, including a choice of frame rates, (24, 30, and 60 FPS) resolution (from 720 x 1280 to 2160 x 3840), and aspect ratio (1:1, 3:4, or 16:9).
