RIP Custom Guitars has partnered with Municipal Waste’s Ryan Waste on his new signature MW-AX – and it could well be the pointiest guitar of the year. This ultimate metal axe looks ready to shred and take some heads off at the same time!

I haven’t seen a guitar as pointy as this in ages! Vim Fuego would love it. This design is so metal and has so many pointy edges, it should be handled with care. The new RIP Custom Guitars Signature Ryan Waste MW-AX is a completely custom design that’s genuinely unique. It’s the kind of guitar guitar that’s sure to get you noticed, and it certainly caught my attention. With a single Seymour Duncan JB Trembucker and a Kahler 2300 locking trem system with Gotoh machine heads, it has all the right stuff for the heavier side of guitar. The looks are out of this world, too; this is a metal thoroughbred.

Municipal Waste
The guitar was designed by RIP Custom Guitars for Virginia speed metal outfit Municipal Waste’s guitarist Ryan Waste. It has a mahogany body and a set neck with 24 jumbo frets on a 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard. On paper, this guitar has all the tone woods and specifications that could make it an excellent instrument. Ryan Waste is a left handed player and so struggles to find guitars that work for him. RIP says this symmetrical body has been designed to suit Ryan’s particular needs and is the culmination of over 13 years of ever-evolving design.
This signature model is available in a Black and Silver or Gunmetal and Slime finishes. Both versions have those pearloid diamond inlays and the Municipal Waste logo inlaid on the 12th fret. You can check out the video below to see this guitar being hand made by RIP Custom Guitars’ Rob Gray. It looks like a labour of love.
