PRS has unveiled a whole range of new colors for John Mayer’s signature guitar line, PRS SE Silver Sky. They’re adding four new rosewood models and two new colors for the maple edition.
SE Silver Sky 2025 Rosewood: Dandy Lion, Laurel Green, Trad Blue, and Derby Red
The latest addition to the SE Silver Sky range is a refresh of the long-standing John Mayer signature model, with four new colors that just look stunning. They’re called Derby Red, Trad Blue, Dandelion, and Laurel Green.
Under the hood, the new SE Silver Sky models offer pretty much what we’ve come to expect and love from John Mayer’s signature series. The combination of a poplar body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard gives these guitars their popular balanced tonal character. And the 635JM neck profile and 8.5″ fretboard radius are a great mix of vintage feel and modern playability.
The three 635JM “S” single coils are voiced for a classic chime, with just enough low-end depth to keep things grounded. And with the classic Strat-style control layout (one volume, two tone knobs) and the five-way switch, you get all the tonal options we love Strats for.
All four guitars are available from Thomann for $969.00 / £885.00 / €999.00 with an estimated delivery time of eight to ten weeks: Dandy Lion*, Trad Blue*, Derby Red*, and Laurel Green*.
Moon White and Stone Blue Maple
PRS also expands the maple fretboard SE Silver Sky options with new colors: the crisp Moon White and the cool, vintage-leaning Stone Blue, plus Summit Purple and Nylon Blue. These two join the existing maple lineup, offering the same snappy attack and bright tone maple fans love.
Compared to the rosewood models, the maple-board Silver Skys will feel a bit more immediate and percussive. Whether you’re all about that classic warmth or modern snap, PRS now offers a SE Silver Sky for your taste and your stage aesthetic. Both Stone Blue* and Moon White* are also available from Thomann for $969.00 / £885.00 / €999.00. A gig bag is included.
