The PRS SE Bernie Marsden has been re-released – for the third time – and will be available for purchase in Europe for a limited time. Bit of a blinder of a guitar, this one, given the specs and the asking price.
PRS SE Bernie Marsden
Exactly 300 pieces are being produced of this very popular, well-priced signature model electric guitar, 100 each with the Vintage Sunburst, Dark Cherry Burst and Tobacco Sunburst finishes respectively. Bernie Marsden is a former guitarist from Whitesnake and owner of ‘The Beast’ ’59 Gibson Les Paul. He is one of the nicest guys in rock and with the help of Paul Reed Smith has designed a pretty amazing, well-specified signature guitar.
It is really great to see them being made once more, as I can say from experience that they are up to the mark having played quite a few of them from previous runs.
2018 Limited Run
Unlike the original 2016 run, the new 2018 edition you will also has the ‘Satin Neck’ upgrade from the 2017 version. Otherwise, it will look just like the rest of the PRS SE models: a mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays and binding along with a maple top with flame veneer.
The PRS SE Bernie Marsden Signature is expected to be on sale for around EUR 800. If you are interested, you should be quick. 300 models are not that many and some players covet this model as the price is cheap for guitar with these specs. If you are in the market for a single cut guitar then you really should be checking this model out.
