Easily one of the most exciting gear releases of the year, the Hologram Electronics Chroma Console is a versatile multi-effects pedal with plenty of crossover appeal.
Known for building innovative effects with a creative sensibility, Hologram Electronics brings you an effects pedal that offers a vast range of tone colour and shaping possibilities. Let’s take a closer look!
Hologram Electronics Chroma Console
Like most of the pedals from Hologram, the interface is very simple. Here, the Chroma Console can be broken down into four independently controlled sections, namely, Character, Movement, Diffusion, and Texture.
Each of these represents an effects category with five effects, giving you a total of 20 to choose from. What’s more, you can flip the Chroma Console’s signal path and change the order of the four effects sections, giving you loads of creative freedom.
The inputs have been specially calibrated with both instrument and line-level sources in mind, so you can immediately incorporate the chroma console into your setup.
In true Hologram style, the Chroma Console has also been designed with a performance-orientated workflow in mind. Features like Gesture, allow you to record your knob movements like automation.
Meanwhile, the Capture function gives you the ability to sustain or loop audio. Connectivity includes MIDI in, out, and thru with clock sync, and you also have tap tempo to manually sync any motion-based effects.
Overall, the Chroma Console promises to be another engrossing and exciting effects pedal from Hologram, and you are likely to see it soon on your favourite music production YouTube channel.
