Magix Sound Forge Pro 18 has arrived with plenty of new features for producers, content creators, as well as mixing and mastering engineers.
According to Magix, Sound Forge Pro 18 now offers low-latency 32-track recording at up to 64-bit 768 kHz. Furthermore, Sound Forge Pro supports VST and ARA2 formats and includes creative plug-ins and processing tools for sound design, mixing, and mastering.
For example, they’ve also included familiar friends like iZotope Ozone 11 Elements and RX 10 Elements, plus Celemony Melodyne Essential 5.

Content production features are also included, like a new text-to-speech function. So if you need to create a demo narration track for your team, you can quickly transform texts into up to 100 different languages.
Another new feature within Sound Forge Pro is the 3D Reverb FX. Here, you get a high-quality reverb that can build spaces based on the placement of the sounds already in your mix. Meanwhile, the plug-in also supports up to 10-channel surround formats, which is a useful addition.
In addition, content creators will be thrilled with the new Story blocks feature. Here, we have an in-depth video and audio content library that is also royalty-free. This becomes the perfect starter kit for starting your own YouTube channel or podcast.
With so much competition in the music production space for DAW systems, Sound Forge Pro seems to be moving comfortably toward its own little niche. It lands somewhere between being a content production and audio editing suite with some impressive unique aspects.
