The Mackie ProFXv3 series mixers are available in six sizes. The channel counts have been carried over from the previous generation, with two notable exceptions: The 4-channel and 8-channel models have been replaced by the 6-channel ProFX6v3 and the 10-channel ProFX10v3, respectively. The larger sizes remain the same, with the 12-channel ProFX12v3, 16-channel ProFX16v3, 22-channel ProFX22v3, and 30-channel ProFX30v3.

The release of the ProFXv3 series marks the arrival of Mackie’s renowned Onyx preamps in the ProFX range. The company says that their low noise and distortion ensures an exceptionally clean signal path. Mackie states a maximum gain of 60 dB.

The integrated effects section has also received an upgrade. The new GigFX engine offers 24 effects, which Mackie says are easy to dial in using the selector knob. Furthermore, the new mixers also feature an improved USB recording interface with a maximum resolution of 24-bit / 192 kHz. With two inputs and four outputs, it allows you to monitor two different mixes from your DAW. There’s also a blend knob for latency-free monitoring.

Pro Tools First included

Mackie’s new partnership with Avid means that every ProFXv3 mixer now comes with the Pro Tools First DAW software. In addition to this, they also throw in the Musician Collection bundle, which includes 23 Avid plug-ins. According to Mackie, this represents a value of more than USD 400. If Pro Tools isn’t your thing, the Tracktion Waveform DAW and DAW Essentials Collection (16 plug-ins) are also still included.
