The popular HeadRush FRFR speakers have both been updated and both the FRFR-108 MKII and the FRFR-112 MKII now offer Bluetooth as standard. These new models look very similar to their previous incarnations, the FRFR-112 and FRFR-108. Just now have gold logos on the front instead of the previous silver ones, so you can tell them apart if you look carefully.

Bluetooth Channel

Key specifications for the FRFR-108 MKII include a 2000-watt full-range flat-response guitar cabinet with Bluetooth, with an 8” speaker, plus an HF compression driver. With two combo XLR + 1/4” inputs and an XLR output. Whereas the larger FRFR-112 MKII model comes with a 12″ speaker instead and is rated at 2500 watts.

These two updated models are the perfect lightweight, compact companion for guitar modeling setups and are both competitively priced. Having the ability to stream music wirelessly from your mobile device into a dedicated Bluetooth channel is a nice upgrade for sure.

Controls

They each have independent volume controls and an XLR direct output that allows for chaining speakers or sending them to a front-of-house mix. Along with a ground lift switch to avoid any unwanted hum and an HPF EQ switch to help cut through the mix.

Lightweight

Overall, the form factor and weight for both models are great with the larger 112 version coming in at only 34.7lbs/15.7kg, and the smaller 108 models at a very reasonable 21lbs/9.53kg. Each version can be used as a wedge, upright, or can be pole-mounted.

Making them great full-range flat-response speakers for working musicians working with modern guitar gear.
