Harley Benton has expanded its ukulele range to include two new solid bodied models, along with some really intriguing bass models.
Harley Benton Solid Uke Natural
The new Harley Benton Solid Uke Natural and the U-Bass SB have several features in common. Both have an okoumé body as well as a fretboard and bridge made of Purpleheart (Amaranth). The amplification is courtesy an integrated pickup system. Other features include a GraphTech saddle and die-casting mechanics.
Harley Benton Solid Uke Natural
They differ in the wood used and, of course, in the scale: The Solid Uke Natural has a shorter scale of 432 mm, 20 frets, a maple neck and a paintwork in a natural look.
Solid U-bass SB
This bass version of the instrument has a longer scale of 512 mm. The Sold U-Bass also receives 20 frets and an okoumé neck as well as a HB pickup system.

U-bass Mahogany & U-Bass Spalted Maple
There are also two “regular” bass ukes with acoustic bodies. The models U-bass Spalted and U-bass Mahoganty also have a number of features in common. Both models have a walnut fretboard with 20 medium frets, a mahogany neck and a walnut bridge.
The main differences lie in the body wood, and the reference is already in the names given to each model. The mahogany version has a cream-white binding, while the spalted mpale body has a black binding.
