To help with those chainsaw tones, the pedal has an active EQ which can be controlled by High, Mids Lvl, Mid Freq and Low knobs, which will help players sculpt their drive tones.

The Hell Melter has two modes Normal and Burn.

Electro Harmonix describes the latter mode as opening up the sound of the pedal significantly by switching to more open clipping options and boosting the internal voltage for even more headroom.

Perfect for a less compressed distortion tone with more attack.

It also features a Gate (noise gate) and Dry Lvl control, which means users can really dial in some interesting high gain, tight and blended tones.

Finally, the foot-switchable Boost section increases the overall gain and volume of the Hell Melter. Making this a pretty well-specified all-in-one high gain distortion solution for a wide range of music styles.

It will also work well with bass guitars and extended-range guitars.

MSRP – USD 176.66 inc standard EHX 9V power supply
