After the Rig Manager got the much-needed update with the editor, Kemper now seems to be preparing the next logical step – an app for iPad. This leads to the next question: How will it work?

Did Kemper hide WiFi in the profiler for an editor iOS app?

When Kemper released Rig Manager, many fans of its Profiler platform were overjoyed. The application made life easier by letting you edit your presets/patches in a much simpler way. Now it looks like we are about to see an iPad editor, too. But… how wil lthis work, exactly? Wifi or Bluetooth? And if so, which hardware will support it?

WiFi or Bluetooth?

Apple iPads are, of course, mobile devices. As far as we know, Kemper’s Profiler has neither WiFi nor Bluetooth installed as standard. I have heard unsubstantiated rumours that the Profiler Stage does support these standards. But if the information in the gearpage forum is correct… Chapeau! That would mean that – at least in the Profiler Stage – a WiFi board is already installed. According to another user, the ESP-WROOM-02 module also supports Bluetooth.
