The UK’s Thorpy FX is about to launch a new pedal in his series of hand-built effects. The Camoflange is an all-analogue flanger designed in conjunction with Dan Coggins of Lovetone.
It isn’t available to buy yet, but Thorpy FX has just announced his new Camoflange analogue flanger effect pedal. Designed by Adrian Thorpe and Dan Coggins (of Lovetone fame) this new flanger circuit should give you a of your quality flanged modulation tones in one neat pedal.
The control panel gives you settings for Depth, Rate, Blend, Treble, Harmonics and Manual. The depth and rate controls alter the intensity and the frequency of the flanger effect. You can dial in as much of your clean signal as you require using the blend control.
Plus, you can add in odd-order harmonics by opening the harmonics control all the way up. That should give you some nice flangy flavours. The control labelled ‘Manual’ lets you set the amount of space within the modulation. Finally, the treble knob lets you add a little top-end to the effect sound as you turn it round clockwise.
The Camoflange comes with a very useful set of wet and dry outputs, making it useful for stereo setups. I think that will make this effect more useful for some. Keep an eye out for this new pedal from ThorpyFX! He does tend to make amazing effects, anmd the cooperation with Dan Coggins is especially exciting.
