The new Charvel Prashant Aswani So-Cal PA signature model is an Inca Silver Super Strat designed specifically for the US guitarist and session player. Made in the Ensenada, Mexico factory and to his exact specifications.

These Charvel Prashant Aswani So-Cal PA28 models look great in the Inca Silver nitro finish, with matching headstock. This modern Strat design features a very nice lightweight alder body with a scalloped lower back bout and shredder’s cut heel.
All this should help make it a comfortable guitar to play and one with great upper fret access.

Neck Specifications
It has a graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck, with a 12” radius Indian rosewood fretboard and 42mm Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut. The neck also tapers from 42mm at the nut to 42.9mm at the heel, so you will have more room at the dusty end, and it is fitted with 22 jumbo frets.
As ever, Charvel has provided easy access to the truss rod via the Heel-Mount Truss Rod Adjustment Wheel and it has a set of glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots.

Pickups & Hardware
This guitar has some very tasty pickups and hardware, which makes it a pretty special instrument. These include a set of Charvel PA28 Humbucker pickups in the neck and bridge positions.
The Alnico III magnets in these humbuckers are described as giving “crystalline cleans” to “fiery distorted leads” and they are wired using a set of Dunlop Super Pots.
The controls consist of a single Volume and Tone control, plus a 5-way blade switch.

Hardware includes the super stable Wilkinson WVS 130 CR two-point locking tremolo bridge, which I really like and a set of locking Charvel tuners. These bridge systems offer Floyd Rose-like locking stability, via the locking saddle mechanism.
Verdict
This new signature guitar has a lot to offer and looks great. I think Prashant Aswani has chosen some very nice hardware for his signature model. If you need a high-performance guitar with classic looks, then this would be one to check out.
