660 Guitars have just announced a new model the CT/52 which is a single cut-style guitar with pickups loaded on rails so you can adjust their positions, giving you more tonal variations.
Last we heard at NAMM 2016, 660 Guitars were launching a range of their “aircraft-grade” aluminium-bodied guitars called The Patriot. This new model is an addition to their current range and again has that unusual sculpted, hollow design. 660 Guitars powder coat their guitars in bold bright colours and so they really do stand out from the competition.
The CT/52 is loaded with two DiMarzio Dominion humbuckers that are both attached to rails. This means you can slide them closer or further away from the bridge and therefore change the tone of the guitar manually. This is a great idea which other manufacturers have used in the past.

There are 10 different finish variations to choose from in the standard lineup and they are all pretty bright – except for the black one! The guitars have a smoked acrylic back plate and so you can access the internals easily enough. The standard hard tail bridge is a Tone Pros Wraparound and the tuners are Sperzel Sound-Lok. I imagine it should have reliable tuning characteristics with that type of quality hardware. You can also specify them with a Kahler USA trem system as an option. Each guitar comes loaded with Hennessy Secure Strap Locks. The necks are made from solid graphite/carbon fibre and so should be solid as a rock.
These guitars are certainly very different and I am sure they will not appeal to the more conservative players out there, but you cannot deny that they are very eye catching and unique. And they only weigh 7.5lbs!
Included in the price is an RB Aero Low Profile Guitar Case to keep it nice and safe.
