This is not a free update to the existing software for existing users, it’s the fully working Voltage Modular environment bundled with 22 modules that you can use forever, for free. So, if you’ve not tried Voltage Modular before then this is the ideal time.
Voltage Modular runs stand-alone or as a VST, AU or AAX plug-in for both MacOS and Windows. It looks just like a hardware rack with all the same conventions of CV control and audio signal routing and processing. The modules mimic the look of hardware but with none of the limitations of physical space or cost. You can build synthesizers, experiment with modulation and CV manipulation, create huge evolving soundscapes, massive percussion machines or brutal bass lines. There’s an ever-increasing range of modules from both Cherry Audio and third-party developers.
It can handle MIDI as well as CV and there’s a new range of polyphonic modules with innovative polyphonic routing. You can send audio, MIDI and CV within your DAW, out to external hardware and back in. It’s amazingly versatile and can integrate perfectly with an existing setup.
The 22 modules that come in the free Nucleus bundle include everything you need for building a synthesizer voice; oscillators, filters, envelopes, VCAs, sequencer, arpeggiator, utilities and a bunch of effect processors.
