Antares AutoTune & Celemony Melodyne Cyberweek deals

If you want to get your pitch correction and vocal effects sorted, the go-to guys have always been Antares and Celemony.

Antares products start at EUR 25 for Auto-Key, move through EUR 29 for Auto-Tune Access (read more), EUR 35 for Antares Mutator (vocal effects), and reach all the way to EUR 139 for the Antares Harmony Engine voice synth.

Celemony products start at EUR 49 for Melodyne 5 Essential. If you don’t own any Melodyne edition, Essential is your ticket towards the discounted upgrade and update paths available during Cyberweek. Upgrading to Melodyne 5 Assistant from Essential is EUR 99.

Upgrading to Melodyne 5 Editor from Essential is EUR 198 and upgrading from Melodyne 5 Assistant is EUR 99. You can also upgrade to Melodyne 5 Studio from Melodyne 5 Essential, Melodyne 5 Editor, and Melodyne Studio 3 or 4 at considerable discounts.

Applied Acoustics Systems – softsynths and effects

AAS makes some of the bombest softsynth around, recreating beloved analog classics in impeccable detail. VSTi plug-ins like String Studio VS-3, Strum GS-2, Chromaphone 3, Ultra-Analog VA-3, and others can be had for EUR 79 each. If you fancy more than one, consider the whole AAS Modeling Collection package at EUR 179 (that’s 5x VSTi and the Objeq Delay plug-in, a steal!) You can also grab the Multiphonics CV-1 virtual modular synth for just EUR 44, or a mighty fine analog synth rompler (Ultra Analog Session) for just EUR 39.

Acon Digital – mixing, mastering, and audio editing software

Acon Digital produces clear-cut problem solving software and plug-ins that are also very pleasantly intuitive. The developer’s mastering, restoration, and audio editing solutions approach those of iZotope and Steinberg in terms of capabilities, but stay lean and affordable. Out of the Cyberweek deals, consider the Acon Digital Mastering Suite (5 mastering effects) at EUR 125 and the Acoustica 7 audio editor at EUR 59 (Standard) or EUR 198 (Premium, with 7.1 surround support). The rest aren’t too shabby, either. For example, Restoration Suite 2 kills pops and clicks with 4 plug-ins for EUR 95, and DeVerberate (EUR 95) is a famous Acon Digital tool to reduce excess ambiance.

Magix – DAWs (Samplitude, Acid Pro, etc)

Samplitude is a big DAW that gets little air time compared to hot-shots Ableton / Logic / Pro Tools because (from my perspective) it couldn’t quite reach beyond the domains of seasoned studio professionals. It’s not for a lack of trying, though. Samplitude Pro X6 Suite is a no-holds-barred DAW that you can have in its entirety for EUR 399. Likewise, the lighter Samplitude Pro X6 (read more) version is a reasonable EUR 249, if you don’t need the additional content. Also, Acid Pro (which I fondly remember as my first sequencer from the turn of the century) lets you run the entire loop-based gamut for just EUR 125. And the Magix Music Maker Premium Edition, which is a great “my first DAW” choice for novices and youths is now EUR 77. It’s a kind of Magix!

Nomad Factory – analog processing done dirt cheap

If your analog hardware emulations game is lacking for some reason, look at Nomad Factory. The developer is selling emulations of studio classics (mainly British ones) in bundles starting at a measly EUR 19. To give an example: the Nomad Factory Analog Signature Pack (EUR 19) offers emulations of the Fairchild 660 limiter, the Pultec EQP-4 equializer, and a full-blown channel strip. That’s just one of the several bundles on sale, so take your pick!
