The SM7B is the industry-standard podcasting microphone, but it has also been used extensively in studios around the world for recording vocals. With flexible low-end roll-off and mid-boosting switches, you can sculpt the mic for your purpose.
Overall, the mic provides excellent speech intelligibility and good resistance to sibilance and plosives with low-self noise. Be aware that this is a low-output dynamic mic, so you will need some extra discrete gain on the way in.
