RODE unveils a selection of new creator tools at NAB 2024 including the RODE Interview Pro, the Phone Cage, and the Magnetic Mount.
This might not be quite as exciting as the RODEcaster DUO and Streamer X launch last year, but the Interview Pro microphone is still a great mobile tool for interview content creators.
RODE Interview Pro
The new Interview Pro is a wireless handheld condenser, compatible with the RODE Wireless system. So your camera rig combined with a Wireless PRO, Wireless ME, or Wireless GO II makes the perfect companion.
In addition, the mic can be controlled via smartphone or desktop platform and timecode communication. Meanwhile, with the RODECaster series, you can quickly connect the Interview Pro mic with its 2.4 GHz 128-bit encrypted connection with a range of up to 200 meters.
With a 32-bit float conversion system and GainAssist feature, the Interview Pro is safe to use in noisy streets where unexpected volume peaks may occur. However, one of the most impressive features is its built-in recording system.
That’s right, the Interview Pro offers up to 40 hours of recording time, while a single charge of its battery will give you 25 hours of use. Also included is a windshield, mic clip, USB cable, and a carry bag.
RODE also launched two new smartphone accessories for creators including the Phone Cage and the Magnetic Mount. Together, the two accessories transform your smartphone into a professional camera rig.
The Phone Cage allows the mounting of wireless receivers as well as lighting attachments, with neat cable routing. Meanwhile, the Magnetic Mount secures the cage to your smartphone, but it can also be used separately.

Pricing and availability:
The Interview Pro will be available from May, priced at just under $250 MSRP. Meanwhile, the Phone Cage and Magnetic Mount will follow this April, priced at $120 and $90 MSRP respectively.
