Quantakor plug-in: Mean AI-generated soundscapes and alien drones
Need a collection of moody sounds for your production? Eplex7 has come up with Quantakor, a soundscapes and FX instrument based on artificial intelligence algorithms. It packs sci-fi, kybernetic, experimental, atmospheric, FX, soundscapes, and other types of modern sounds in a well-designed, intuitive plug-in.
Quantakor features multi-octave, multi-sampled sounds, waveforms, and synts generated by all kinds of audio alchemistry like AI-facilitated resampling and morphing, neuronal synthesis, complex resynthesis, and who knows what. There are 1.2GB of sounds, all in all, and they can be tweaked with internal parameters like LFO rate/depth, Pitch, Expression, Pan Modulation, low/high-pass filters, Reverb, Space, Amplitude, and more. The sounds can be played in three modes: polyphonic, monophonic, and Legato with Glide.
As a whole, Quantakor looks and sounds great. You don’t have too much room to move beyond its in-built sounds, as the plug-in isn’t a synthesizer but more of an advanced rompler. It’s still good fun, though, and not too many producers out there are using it, so give the free demo a try and audition some mean, AI-powered sounds!
