The new PRS NF 53 and the long-awaited Myles Kennedy Signature models have just been revealed. A guitar that Kennedy has been playing live for the last year.
NF 53 and Myles Kennedy signature
The new PRS Myles Kennedy signature model has been in the pipeline for a very long time. In fact, he has been spotted playing the prototype live for the last year and most recently at the Download festival in the UK.

Signature
Kennedy’s signature model has a swamp ash body, along with a 22-fret, 25.5” scale length bolt-on maple neck with a maple fretboard. It comes fitted with two PRS Narrowfield MK pickups, which are a bit more humbucker-voiced when compared to the NF 53 model below.
The controls consist of a 5-way switch with volume and tone controls.
Plus a Preset Tone roll-off for the treble pickup, bringing the higher frequencies down to slightly darken the tone. This is active in positions 1-4.

T-Style
Hardware includes the PRS Plate-Style Bridge made of steel with brass saddles. This is paired with a set of PRS Vintage-Style Locking tuners.
It is available in Antique White, Black, Hunters Green, Tri-Color Sunburst and Natural finishes.

Allegedly, the NF 53 has also been in development for nearly three years as well. Both are bolt-on neck T-style guitars and so they share a few similarities.

The PRS NF 53 combines a swamp ash body and a 22-fret, 25.5” scale length bolt-on maple neck with maple fretboard and comes fitted with a special set of PRS Narrowfield “Deep Dish” pickups.
This model has a more traditional Volume and Tone with a 3-way Blade pickup switch.

It also comes with the PRS Plate-Style Bridge, made of steel and a set of PRS Vintage-Style tuners.
This model has Black, Black Doghair, Blue Matteo, McCarty Tobacco Sunburst and White Doghair options for the finish.
