Danelectro is teasing two new vintage looking models on its Instagram account, just ahead of Winter NAMM. The details are still sketchy, but the pics look super nice!
Danelectro has just uploaded a picture of two new guitars on its Instagram account. Unfortunately, at the time of this post there are no real juicy details on the new models. We have some prospective model names, but not much more than that.
The post says – “The Great 1950’s Danelectro’s are back!” and that’s about it. The guitars have the usual Danelectro ‘coke bottle’ vintage-style headstock and lipstick pickups, but nothing regarding the specs of either model are out just yet.
Luckily, we still have those Danelectro re-designed vintage effects pedals from the beginning of the month, and the recent news about the 64XT model to keep us occupied until more information is available.
’59 Divine and ’57 Jade
Fortunately for us, Instagram account detroitguitar has posted photos of the two models, listing them as ’59 Divine and ’57 Jade on their post. Still no real specifications. However, I suspect that the ’59 Divine might be based on the ’59 model made famous by one Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, while the ’57 Jade might be an update of the company’s two-pickup ’56 model. We’ll have to wait for the official unveil to find out. I guess the Jade name refers to the colour of the ’57 model, while the ’59 comes in at least 3 finishes.
Winter NAMM release?
Danelectro will be at Booth #4807 at Winter NAMM and we will no doubt find out more about these new models later this week.
I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have some official information on these latest releases.
