The PRS Fiore, the signature model for Snarky Puppy’s Mark Lettieri, will now be available in an eye-catching Larkspur finish. This new blue finish was recently shared on Twitter, and adds another colour option to the model which was introduced at the NAMM Show in 2021.
The PRS Fiore, released about a year ago, is an HSS layout signature model for Mark Lettieri of Snarky Puppy fame. The guitar features a pair of specially designed Fiore-S neck and middle single-coils, plus a Fiore-H bridge humbucker. These are wired via a five-way switch, a master volume control and two push/pull tone controls.
The guitar is a bit of a departure in style from the majority of the brand’s instruments, and so had a lot of PRS fans talking about it upon its release. These variations include the lack a flashy flame maple top, and having a longer scale length (25.5″) than most PRS models (25″).
This year, the company has added a unique Larkspur finish as option for the Fiore. This eye-catching blue will now join the three existing finishes on offer; Amaryllis, Black Iris and Sugar Moon. The model features a swamp ash body, a 25.5″ scale length bolt-on maple neck, and a maple fretboard with 22-frets and PRS bird inlays. Hardware includes a 2-Point Steel Tremolo with vintage style saddles, and vintage-style tuners.
I think this new colour looks great, and sits very well with that maple fretboard, so it could be popular with fans of the Fiore model. You can see and hear Mark demonstrating the original model in the official demo video from PRS below. This new Larkspur finish should be available from PRS dealers soon, so keep your eyes pealed for it.
