Love Hultén build beautiful boxes filled with sound and experimentation. We’ve experienced his Triaccord synthesizer tryptic, we’ve marvelled over the cutest Bivalvia mini synths and now prepare yourself to enjoy Noistation, a space piano from some 1970’s future retro universe.

Noistation

Handmade in a mahogany case built around a 37 note semi-weighted keyboard it features six buttons, sixteen faders and a pitch wheel. In the middle is a planet-sized 40W speaker. The arrangement is sparse and spacey, full of character and some sort of ancient vibe from 100’s of years ago.

The synthesizer heart of the instrument is based on Axoloti core, an open source hardware synth created by Johannes Taelman. Using the Axoloti Patcher software it becomes a very versatile sound and effects playground. The software allows you to create and manipulate different sorts of synthesis in a graphical modular environment. Connect Noistation to your computer via USB and off you go. Store all your patches on the internal SD card and then use the buttons and faders to modulate and sculpt the sound.

As with all Love Hultén products they are sound generating works of art and come with an artistically appropriate price tag. Love will build a Noistation for you for €2999. It’s a delightful object that would look amazing in any space free from the mess of normal living.
