Kinetic Rituals for Arturia Pure Sub by skendi
Arturia’s Pure Sub bass synth has only been out for a couple of weeks or so, and skendi has already been busy and created 50 brand new presets for it, entitled Kinetic Rituals! Rather than just go for a collection of simple bass sounds, skendi has created a set of rhythmic patches.
Movement is the name of the game here, whether it is via the LFO or FM synthesis. The filter is also used to deliver motion and clever use of Pure Sub’s sub-processing feature. There’s something for everyone in Kinetic Rituals, whatever your style or genre.
As you’d expect, skendi makes good use of all the expression and performance controls, using all four macros on every preset in the pack. So if the factory presets left you a bit cold, or you can’t get enough of that bass, Kinetic Rituals is for you.

Complete Set for Roland SH-4d by A. Kav
It might just be me, but whilst the Roland SH-4d had everyone getting excited when it launched back in 2023, it doesn’t seem to have become as big and as popular as I expected it. Our very own Adam Douglas absolutely raved about it when it launched, but I rarely see anyone using one of these. Which is a shame.
Last May, it got a version 2 update, but even after that healthy injection of oscillators, sequencer updates and more, it still seems to fly quite low under the radar. So it is nice to see it getting some love from A.Kav over at the LFO.store.

As we saw last week with Sonora Cinematic’s ‘Panorama Whitekirk’, I do love a good guitar sample library, and here we are this week with another excellent collection, this time featuring guitars of the acoustic variety, courtesy of Edu Prado Sounds.
Rather than your run-of-the-mill strums, plucks and picks, Extended Acoustic Guitar ventures into the world of bows, scrapes and harmonics to deliver something far more complex and intriguing. The pack features 12 instruments with bespoke articulations to give them a natural and expressive feel.

Klaus Schulze Tribute Vol.2 for KORG wavestate by Nick Klimenko
As we slowly recovered from our collective Holidays Hangover in January, Nick Klimenko released a bank of sounds for the acclaimed KORG wavestate as a tribute to the great Klaus Schulze. Now, some 9 months later, we have Volume 2.
Volume 2 consists of 40 new performances as a tribute to a man who some claim is the father of the Berlin School style of electronic music. This bank, claims Nick, is focused on melodic and atmospheric performances with classic Berlin-style sequences, big, fat pads and silky smooth leads.
Every patch makes use of all four macro controls and, when used alongside the modulation wheel, imbues the sounds with a ton of nuance and movement. They’ve also included a collection of MIDI files so you can really get a feel for how these sounds were intended to be used.
Nick is clearly a big fan of the great man and this bank of sounds is fully compatible with all versions of the wavestate, be it the 37-key version, the larger wavestate SE, the desktop module and the native plugin.
