The Jackson RRT Rhoads MJ Series WH is built in Japan and it is an almost completely white V-style guitar. Aimed at metal and rock styles, this is one head-turning instrument.

The new RRT Rhoads WH from the MJ series is based on the Randy Rhoads Flying V body shape.

It is available in Snow White with Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock, a chrome pickguard and matching chrome hardware throughout.

Thru-Neck

The body is made of Basswood but only the “wings” as it is a thru-neck construction.

The three-piece maple neck has graphite reinforcement and comes with a  12-16′′ compound radius and an ebony fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and a set of Pearloid Sharkfin inlays, plus a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut.

It also has a set of Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots, to help players navigate that fretboard whilst playing on dark stages.

Seymour Duncan

The RRT Rhoads WH is equipped with two open-coil Seymour Duncan humbuckers with white covers: a JS SH-4 in the bridge position and a Jazz SH-2N in the neck position.

The pickups are wired via a three-position pickup toggle switch, a single volume control and a single tone control. Therefore, a super simple control layout, which is just what you would want with this style of guitar.

Hardware

It has an adjustable Jackson TOM-Style-Bridge with an anchored tailpiece and a set of Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, plus a set of Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons.

Verdict

A great looking take on the Randy Rhoads body shape and I would expect these guitars to have great build quality, as these are being made in Japan, which normally means a high-quality instrument.

They aren’t cheap, though I suspect that they will be perfect for the job they are designed to do. Thankfully, the price includes a Jackson foam core case, as these guitars are a nightmare to find cases for if not.
