Korn Tones
Korn and Distortion Inc. have returned with a second signature, which follows last year’s model for Munkey. The new Head Signature Pedal is a faithful recreation basedon the modified tube amp and heavily-modded fuzz that was used for Korn’s ’94–’96 Indigo Ranch sessions.
Indigo Ranch
This pedal features independent preamp and fuzz sections housed in a single enclosure, alongside a phase-aligned sub-octave designed to create massive walls of sound. If you want to recreate those early Indigo Ranch session tones with Ross Robinson, this is one way to do it simply.
To achieve the most accurate and full-range audio, run the pedal directly into a power amp or a mixing console. While a clean amplifier channel will work, bypassing a regular amp’s preamp stage yields the tightest low-end response and maximum dynamic range. If you choose to run it through a clean channel, be sure to lower the input gain and turn off any bright or treble-enhancing switches.
MSRP – $259.99 (already sold out, unfortunately)
Pet Sounds SurfyBear
Do you want those Beach Boys-type reverberant tones? Then the Pet Sounds SurfyBear could be for you. This spring reverb celebrates the 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds and comes in a Pet Sounds artwork finish.
Good Vibrations
The SurfyBear Compact is an analog spring reverb pedal that replicates classic 1960s outboard tank units in a pedalboard-friendly size. Unlike digital emulations, this limited-run pedal uses a real Accutronics type-8 spring pan and JFET transistors instead of tubes, delivering the responsive, unpredictable feel of a vintage gear setup.
It has controls for Volume, Mixer 1, Mixer 2, Tone, Decay, and Dwell, plus footswitches for Effect Bypass and Mixer 1-2.
Perfect for anyone into Surf Music or The Beach Boys. It is a limited edition and available now at Thomann, priced at $331/£298/€339.
Vesperia
Red Witch has just announced another highly limited run of pedals, the new Vesperia. It is billed as a Swell + Delay palette and has three parts to the design (we’ll look at those in a second). As ever, these are all hand-built in New Zealand, and this time they are only building 59 pedals in total!
They reference both Jeff Beck playing “Somewhere over the rainbow” and Eddie Van Halen’s “Cathedral” if you are trying to get an idea of what to expect from this unique combination of effects.
Just listen to the official demo video to hear it in action.
Swell + Delay
Vesperia isn’t for everyone, but it offers a creative palette no other single pedal can match. Combining a volume swell, a gorgeous delay, and a noise gate into one stompbox, it delivers three versatile effects you can use independently or together to unlock entirely new tonal expressions.
Premium Build
Handbuilt with premium through-hole components, 100,000-cycle footswitches, and best-in-class Neutrik jacks, this pedal includes a lifetime warranty and is built to last. This run is strictly limited to 59 units, and once they sell out, they are gone forever.
All orders ship via DHL International Express with tracking, and all duties and tariffs are fully covered.
