The Gibson Rick Beato Les Paul Special Double Cut limited edition was released last September and is now sold out. But now it is available once more in a Sparkling Burgundy Satin finish.

The Rick Beato Les Paul Special Double Cut signature model was a popular release in September 2022 and the limited edition run sold out pretty quickly worldwide.
Fans of Mr Beato have been asking him if it would become available again and today they have their answer.

New Colour
Now, Gibson has announced the new Sparkling Burgundy Satin nitro-cellulose finish version. Yes, it is essentially just a new colour, though a very nice colour, but it is still a really great specification for a guitar.
However, it is a colour that has not been traditionally used for this model of guitar as standard. Which makes this new one somewhat unique.

Thinner
Its double-cutaway body is slightly thinner at 1.5” than a standard Les Paul Special DC and this should also help to make it comfortable in terms of the weight.
The guitar uses a mahogany body and neck, plus an Indian Rosewood fretboard fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets, plus a Graph Tech nut.
All the hardware is in nickel and includes a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece, plus a set of vintage deluxe tuners with white buttons.

P-90
A pair of P90 pickups are wired via twin Volume and Tone controls with a three-way pickup selector switch. This is a flexible setup and should offer some classic guitar tones.
The guitar comes in a Gibson Original Series hardshell case.
Verdict
This was one Gibson signature model that has proven its popularity, as the 2022 model in Pelham Blue sold out pretty quickly.
Yesterday, we saw the announcement of the more affordable Epiphone Marty Schwartz ES-335 which is another model for a YouTube channel/online influencer/music educator.
It says a lot about the market for guitars in the world in recent years. Mr Beato is a a good influence in terms of how he is passionate about music, and guitar and sharing that knowledge.
I like the specifications for this signature model, I think it is flexible and I also really do love this new colour. I’m guessing this one will sell out pretty fast as well.

I LOVE this new colour 🙂
I already own a blue first edition RB guitar, and it would be absolutely ridiculous to also purchase this new red one. But I can’t help it, I’m really tempted 🙂
