These new Fractal Audio FC-6 and FC-12 Mark II foot controllers, offer an easy way to navigate your Fractal system, adding easy to read footswitch mini-displays, now with almost double the height displayed text. Making them perfect for your controlling your Axe-Fx III, FM9 and FM3 systems.
FC-6 and FC-12 Mark II
Fractal Audio’s FC-6 and FC-12 Mark II foot controllers offer what they are calling expanded, easier-to-read mini-displays which should make them a popular addiction for many Fractal users. They have now managed to practically double the height of each individual character of text from 4.6mm to 9.2mm. This should certainly make them easier to use onstage, which is perfect for players like myself, whose eyesight is getting worse as they get older.

FASLINK II
The simple FASLINK II system allows uses to connect everything via a single XLR cable, with two-way communication between the foot controller and your Fractal system. Both of the FC-6 and FC-12 Mark II models have an “EZ” mode that allows you to simply set up and modify footswitches more easily. This gives you access to a variety of presets, banks, scenes, effects and channels, plus your tuner, tap tempo, and looper function.

Pro Connectivity
These new upgraded foot controllers are compatible withAxe-Fx III and both of the FM9 and FM3 amp modeller/FX processors. Both Mark II foot controllers can be daisy chained and linked to any other FC unit, and they are also interchangeable with the first generation FC-6 and FC-12. Each pedal has four jacks for connecting expression pedals such as the Fractal Audio EV, and another two jacks for connecting up to four external switches. And for pro players you have the Mirroring capability which allows your choice of on-stage and off-stage FC units to imitate each other completely without having to deal with dual programming.
Construction of the foot controllers consists of powder coated 16-gauge steel, perfect for heavy use and SSS switches will give you noiseless, robust switching, which is perfect for hard working musicians.

Improving the UI of complex machines is basic stuff. Good on them for doing it but it’s hardly a game changer. Sheesh.
As my eyesight has worsened with age, it appeals to me. Lol!
