FL Studio 20.6 improved

Distructor is a new distortion and amp simulator made in the style of a multi-effects pedal The plug-in is modular and combines the best elements of some existing hardware and software effects. You get Distortion, Filter, Chorus, and Speaker sections – each with dedicated controls for sound shaping and presets.

There’s also the Fruity Voltage Controller. It makes it possible to integrate FL Studio with Eurorack gear by way of CV. A DC coupled audio interface is required to be able to send CV commands to modular synths and such. Compared to CV Tools in Ableton Live, the functionality is relatively simple, but it’s there and ready to grow.

The Advanced Fill Tool now supports Euclidean rhythms and sequences to add extra movement and unpredictability to your rhythm tracks. Pretty cool! You can also click the right mouse button or Cmd + Click to get the new option Burn MIDI to with tracks that have MIDI plug-ins. This will record the MIDI data generated by the plug-ins.

Export all playlist tracks is a feature that renders tracks from playlists to audio files. This works even with activated master effects. There’s also direct export to SoundCloud.

FL Studio Mobile offers an option for multi-output. The synthesizer FLEX now lets you modulate the reverb time. Vocodex gets a draft rendering mode . There are also CPU management improvements. The list is extensive.

Price and availability

The FL Studio update is free, as usual. The DAW itself is available in different versions, starting from EUR 99. Meanwhile, the DAW is no longer limited to Windows , but also available for macOS. If you want to buy FL Studio can get an overview here (affiliate).
